This Privacy Policy explains how eScooter Global handles personal information when you visit escooter-global.com, place an order, use a customer account, contact us, request delivery or after-sales support, or subscribe to marketing emails.

It covers the processing for which we are responsible. Where the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) or other privacy laws apply, your information and rights are subject to those laws.

1. Who We Are and How to Contact Us

eScooter Global is operated by Guangxi Taiying Trading Co., Ltd., a company established in China. This company is the data controller responsible for deciding how and why we use the personal information described in this policy. References to “we”, “us” and “our” mean this company, trading as eScooter Global.

We sell electric scooters, selected electric bikes, accessories and replacement parts online. Products are fulfilled through official brand warehouses, and we coordinate delivery and after-sales requests with the relevant brands and service providers.

The registered address identifies our business; it is not a walk-in shop or an address for returning products. Please contact us to arrange the correct return address for your order.

2. Personal Information We Collect and Its Sources

The information we process depends on your interaction with us:

  • Contact and delivery details: your name, email, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, country and postal code, supplied when you enquire or order.
  • Orders and payments: products, quantities, order numbers, purchase dates, payment method and status, transaction references, refunds and payment disputes. We obtain these details from your order and relevant payment confirmations.
  • Customer accounts: account identifiers, login and authentication information, saved contact details, order history and account preferences, if you create an account.
  • Delivery and tracking: shipment references, carrier information, delivery status and communications about delivery or returns, received from you, the brand fulfilling your order, carriers and order-tracking providers.
  • Support and warranty requests: correspondence, proof of purchase, product brand, model and serial number, issue descriptions, and photos or videos you provide. The relevant brand or repair provider may send us assessment, repair or replacement updates.
  • Website usage and security: IP address, browser and device characteristics, visited pages, referral information, website interactions, cookie identifiers, consent choices, and diagnostic or security logs. Some information is collected through hosting services and Google Analytics, subject to the applicable controls described below.
  • Email subscriptions: your email address, preferences, subscription and consent records, and unsubscribe requests. Email engagement information is processed only where the relevant measurement is enabled and legally permitted.

Payment credentials submitted to PayPal are handled by PayPal. We receive the transaction details needed to confirm payments, fulfil orders, issue refunds and manage disputes. Please do not send card security codes, payment passwords or unnecessary identity documents to customer support.

If you do not provide information necessary for these purposes, we may be unable to complete the purchase or requested service. Marketing subscriptions and optional analytics are not required to buy from us.

4. Who Receives Your Information

We share information relevant to the following purposes with the following recipients or recipient categories:

Official brand partners and fulfilment warehouses. The brand responsible for your product and its fulfilment warehouse may receive your name, delivery address, necessary contact details, order reference, product and quantity, and relevant delivery instructions. This enables them to dispatch and manage your order.

Manufacturers and after-sales providers. To assess a warranty issue, arrange repairs or supply replacement parts, the relevant brand and service provider may receive proof of purchase, product identifiers, issue descriptions, relevant photos or videos, and contact or delivery details needed for the service. We limit disclosure to the information relevant to your request. Coordinating with a manufacturer does not remove our obligations as the seller.

Carriers and shipment-tracking providers. These providers receive the delivery details and shipment identifiers needed for delivery, tracking, notifications, delivery enquiries and returns.

PayPal. PayPal processes payments and may use information for its own fraud prevention, regulatory and other purposes as an independent controller. Its handling of that information is described in PayPal’s Privacy Statement.

Website and communications service providers. Hosting, website maintenance, security, email delivery, customer communications and email-marketing providers process the information needed to supply their services. Providers acting on our instructions must handle information within the scope of those instructions and applicable data-protection requirements.

Google Analytics. Google provides website measurement services. The information involved depends on our Analytics settings and your applicable choices. See section 5 and Google’s Privacy Policy.

WhatsApp. If you choose to contact us through WhatsApp, we receive your contact details and the messages or files you send. WhatsApp also handles information under its own applicable Privacy Policy. You can contact us by email instead.

Authorities and professional advisers. Information may be disclosed when necessary to meet a legal duty, respond to a lawful request, obtain professional advice or deal with a legal claim.

5. Cookies and Google Analytics

Cookies and similar technologies can store or access information on your device. Our store uses these technologies for shopping basket, checkout, account and security functions, and uses Google Analytics for website measurement.

Google Analytics may process pages viewed, device characteristics, referral sources, approximate location and shopping events, depending on its configuration. For information about Google’s handling of data, see Google’s Privacy Policy.

Essential technologies may operate without consent only where a relevant legal exemption applies. Optional technologies that require consent must not be used without that consent. Accepting this policy, placing an order or continuing to browse does not give consent to optional tracking.

You can block or remove cookies using your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect your basket, checkout or account access. Browser controls do not replace any consent mechanism required by law.

For questions about website tracking or an applicable request to withdraw consent, contact support@escooter-global.com.

6. Marketing Emails

We use our email-marketing service to send product news and offers to subscribers who have consented. Buying a product or contacting support does not automatically subscribe you to promotional emails.

You can stop marketing emails through the unsubscribe link in a promotional message or by emailing support@escooter-global.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing based on that consent.

Unsubscribing does not stop necessary messages about payments, orders, deliveries, returns or warranty requests. We keep limited preference and suppression records where needed to honour your unsubscribe request.

Email opening or click measurement, where enabled, is subject to applicable privacy and device-tracking requirements; a subscription alone does not automatically permit every tracking method.

7. Processing Outside the UK and EEA

Our business is established in China. Personal information may be accessed and processed in China by personnel working for our business. Brand partners and payment, hosting, communications, analytics and logistics providers may also process information in other countries.

Products being dispatched from European warehouses does not mean that personal information is processed only in Europe.

Where information is disclosed to a separate recipient outside the UK or EEA and the applicable international-transfer rules require safeguards, the transfer must use an appropriate legal mechanism and any required additional protections.

You can email support@escooter-global.com to ask about relevant recipients, processing locations and international-transfer arrangements. Publishing this policy or making a purchase does not, by itself, authorise a transfer that would otherwise be unlawful.

8. How Long We Retain Information

We decide retention by the purpose of the record, applicable legal duties, the status of your order or support request, and any relevant dispute or claim:

  • Order, payment and accounting records: for the periods required by applicable accounting and tax laws, and for any further period necessary to address an actual or reasonably anticipated legal claim.
  • Account details: while needed to provide your account. If you close the account, information without a continuing lawful purpose is deleted or anonymised; required transaction records may be retained separately.
  • Delivery, return and support records: until the relevant service or issue is resolved and any applicable warranty, statutory remedy or claim period has been addressed. An unresolved dispute may justify retaining the relevant evidence longer.
  • Marketing records: while your subscription is active and needed for the marketing programme. After an unsubscribe request, only records needed to honour your choice, evidence consent or meet legal duties are retained.
  • Analytics and technical records: for the limited period needed for website measurement, diagnostics or security, using the configured retention controls. A specific security incident may require the relevant logs to be kept until the investigation and associated claims are resolved.

Information no longer needed for a lawful purpose is deleted or made anonymous. Records awaiting removal from backups remain subject to protection and must not be reused for unrelated purposes. Contact us if you need the applicable retention criteria or period for a particular record.

9. Security

We are responsible for applying appropriate organisational and technical safeguards, including access restrictions appropriate to the information and the services involved. Personal information should be accessible only to personnel and providers who need it for an authorised purpose.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your account credentials private and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account or information. Avoid including unrelated sensitive information or identifiable bystanders in photos and videos supplied for support.

10. Your Rights

Subject to the conditions and exceptions in the law that applies to you, you may be able to:

  • Obtain access to your personal information and a copy of it.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Request deletion of information that no longer has a lawful basis for retention.
  • Ask us to restrict certain processing.
  • Receive qualifying information in a reusable electronic format and, where applicable, request its transfer to another controller.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your circumstances.
  • Withdraw consent for processing that relies on it.
  • Exercise applicable safeguards concerning automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, including requesting human review where the law provides this right.

You can object to direct marketing at any time. Use the unsubscribe link or contact us; you do not need to give a reason.

Send privacy requests to support@escooter-global.com. Tell us what you are requesting and provide enough information to locate the relevant records. We may request proportionate identity verification where necessary, but please do not send identity documents unless requested.

Where UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, the usual response period is one month. If a lawful extension or exception applies, we will explain it as required. Requests are ordinarily free; any lawful fee or refusal must meet the relevant legal conditions.

Some records may have to be retained for legal duties or claims despite an account closure or deletion request. We will explain relevant limits when responding.

Automated decisions. Payment providers such as PayPal may conduct their own automated risk checks under their privacy notices. Our use of a payment provider does not remove our responsibilities for any processing or decisions for which we are responsible. Contact us about an order-related concern or an applicable request for review.

11. Privacy Complaints

To raise a privacy complaint, email support@escooter-global.com, preferably with the subject Privacy Complaint, and describe your concern.

Where the UK data-protection complaint requirements apply, we will confirm receipt within 30 days, investigate appropriately, keep you informed as required and communicate the outcome without undue delay. This acknowledgement period is separate from the usual one-month period for responding to data-rights requests.

You may also complain to a relevant supervisory authority without first completing our complaints process:

12. Children, External Services and Policy Updates

This store is intended for people with legal capacity to make purchases. If a parent or guardian believes we have handled a child’s information inappropriately, please contact us so we can investigate and take the action required by applicable law.

External payment services, manufacturer websites and communication platforms may have their own privacy notices. This policy does not replace those notices or reduce our responsibilities for processing under our control.

We may update this policy when our operations, providers or legal requirements change. We will revise the date at the top and give additional notice where required. A policy update does not, by itself, grant consent to a new use of your information.

For any privacy enquiry, contact eScooter Global, operated by Guangxi Taiying Trading Co., Ltd., at support@escooter-global.com or through our Contact Us page.
